Training compassionate speech therapists who speak from the heart
The Department of Speech-Language Pathology trains speech-language pathologists to evaluate and treat speech disorders. With the growing number of children with congenital and acquired disabilities, an aging population, and an increase in multicultural and bilingual families, the demand for speech therapists in special schools, welfare facilities, and rehabilitation departments is on the rise. The department's mission is to improve individuals' quality of life by promoting or restoring the communication skills needed for interpersonal, academic, and professional success.
