Wonkwang Digital University was awarded the top grade in the "2013 Cyber University Competency Assessment" by the Ministry of Education and was selected as one of the excellent universities in Korea in the Cyber University Assessment by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in 2007.

    Wonkwang Digital University has grown into the cradle for global talent. It has signed MOUs with a myriad of universities and institutes in more than a dozen countries across the world such as the US, Canada, China, Japan, India and Tibet, providing students and faculty members with opportunities to be trained overseas.

    The Department of Oriental Medicinal Cosmetics and Arts is cooperating with Liaoning University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China in the area of anatomy dissection, while the Department of Social Welfare is implementing a training program together with the Elderly Welfare Center in Fukuoka, Japan. The Department of Yoga Studies and Meditation is in collaboration with Baranas Hindu University in India for an international yoga teachers training course. The Department of Drug Rehabilitation Welfare is supporting hands-on education along with Eastern Washington University and ACTS in Seattle in the US. Lastly, the Department of Traditional Performance Arts is promoting human resources exchange with the University of British Columbia and the University of Toronto in Canada via sisterhood ties.

    It was also chosen as a top-tier cyber university supported by the '2013 Work-to-School Program,' and thereby was able to conclude a business agreement with the Iksan Food Cluster with a network of more than 170 companies.
